Ah, I just HAD to post this one. I downloaded this a few weeks ago, and I’ve been having so much fun with these vintage mid-70s disco-ish sounds! I thought you might enjoy them, as well, so here is the tr66 for ya.
These were recorded with a Hitachi D-E7 Cassette deck with Dolby C into the ULN-2 (and, also, saturated to full-extent) on an Ampex Valve tape machine – so they’ve been brought to you as authentically as possible, considering they’re all in WAV format.
Found an old ad for it, posted below..
The TR66 was produced by Roland in 1974. It was incorporated in the tune, “Dance Away,” by Roxy Music. Which tune is that, again? Aye, the one below! You can hear the drum sounds from the beginning of the track. I don’t give a damn about the vocals, but obviously that’s not the point!
(They did mix some live percussion in with the TR66 “rhythm arranger” sounds, as well, though.)
Hope you get some use out of these wonderful samples!
