When You Spin a Record, You Might Need an ACTUAL Record, Smirnoff Nerds ;)
Nice try, I guess? Might need a needle or two, too…. And, maybe this is a stretch, but I’d wager that it’s a pretty reasonable accusation that the whole deck probably isn’t even plugged in, either. Though, I could be wrong. Maybe he’s spinning invisi-vinyl!
Thanks to a post on dnbforum, Mr. A posted it (who thanked Khem) the world was able to gain access to a huge feast of old rave tapes! Some real 90s gold rave gold, here; a decade or two before the phrase, ‘EDM,’ was ever coined – and there’s tons of gems in this 56 gig warehouse of beats.

‘GHF’s Little Shop of Weirdness’ is a page created by Glitch Hop Forum regular, Haywood Jablohmi. He had some tracks in his catalog that he decided was just taking up space, so why not just put em all in one place and showcase them as the oddities that they are?
In Haywood’s own words:
So I’m going thru my old back catalog and I’m finding some really weird shit that probably won’t ever see the light of day. And by weird I sometimes mean bat shit crazy (I was exploring the boundaries of how much glitch one could possibly shove into a track, hehehe). But it’s not all that bad, just super fucking weird. These are tracks from 3-8 years ago, unpolished and unfinished. So I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in joining a soundcloud group or such to share yer weirdest unrealised shit upon anyone who wants to give that shit a try. I don’t know what to do with most of this shit anyway, so if you feel the same way, please hit me up. Let’s get weird and communicate.

I didn’t think I’d be writing another post describing an album as being both skweee AND sega-ish again (or at least this soon) but hey, I guess that’s 2013. The king Of purple (Joker!) releases a Sega rave album!
Yes, nine new tracks by Joker, ‘Drive’ is a series of fun tunes (stages) reminiscent of Sonic the Hedgehog or Toejam & Earl. Any old Sega-gamer from back in the day will get at least a few delighted smiles out of this album. Stages like ‘Lava Lake,’ and ‘Emerald Ring’ do more than just point vaguely towards a cast of characters from long ago – it’s an outright purple funk chiptune soundtrack for Sonic (and Sonic-ish) games, and that’s so much of the fun!! Mathematically speaking, a nostalgic or revisionist video game album by Joker can’t be too bad. It just can’t. Take a listen to this nine-track mini-album, I promise you’ll get a kick out of it!
