Wu-Tang/Beatles: ‘Enter the Magical Myster Chamber.’ Yea. You’re welcome.

its-wu-tang-vs-the-beatles-enter-the-magical-mystery-chambers

I just found this, I think from link after surfing off of ‘The What’ by Biggie Smalls featuring Method Man. Some of this mashup – actually, on second thought, i fucking hate that word… I’ll call it a collage ….  cuz “Mashup” reminds me of those shitty napster tracks ya downloaded off Napster or whatever with Eminem plastered over an old Britney songs. Shitty. So fuck that. This is a concept album thing, kinda like the Grey Album; y’all remember that one? Well, anyway, this montage / collage / concept album, some of it’s dope. Some of it’s clumpy.

Enough of it IS dope that it’s worth a listen.Especially whatever the track around 39 and a half minutes is. That’s got the flow. The whole thing has breaks, lyrics by the rap group, and instrumentals (often cut nicely into seamless loops) played in the background. The tracks are cut  with samples of Beatles fans and random interview clips and things like that. It makes sense, Wu-Tang had samples in that kinda template, and the Beatles, by the time they got passed their, “let’s take phenmatrazepine pills and stay up in Germany all night,” phase, moving on to that DEVIL’S HERB (weed) —BTW, thanks, Bob Dylan, for one of the few good things you contributed to music around the time: introducing the Beatles to that magical mystery plant…. ((and yes, Bob, ya  made some great music for awhile, up until the end of the decade, then it was just blah, but that’s another rant)) ) and it was sometime around the when the Beatles were starting to smoke and drop (drop what? …. you know what as they started to go into a much more psychedelic and acid-cutty kinda sound. Not quite as much as Abbey Road or the convoluted (but super-brilliant) White Album.. but, still…

That sentence was way too long, wow. This isn’t fuckin’ Alice in Wonderland. Or maybe it is; this album combines the brilliance (and ODB) of Wu-Tang — with the brilliance (and Ringo) of the Beatles. It’s fun. It sounds like its supposed to be done this way. If you never heard either the Fab Four or Wu-Tang (first I’d ask you why) you might think this is an original. Though they don’t just take cuts strictly from the albums mentioned. I definitely recognized bits of White Album and Abbey Road. And I can’t be sure but I feel like the Ol’ Dirty Bastard was perhaps a little bit too prominent. But, that’s subjective. Just my opinion.

….Actually, fuck that, no; it’s not subject, it’s objective. Old Dirty Ringo Bastard was on this one way too much. Disagree? I bet you won’t. He’s like D-12’s Bizarre for the Wu-Tang; nobody knows exactly why or how he’s there, but he was probably friends with someone and just stuck around. The innovative style of sing-rapping (which, yes, was innovative) is something that I’m sure RZA and GZA and maybe Method and some producers completely put together for him. I mean…

Ok, enough dissing on the Dirty. That was a tangent. Just listen to the album and drop! Oh, and here’s a tracklisting…..

track-listing-for-wu-tang-and-beatles-masterpiece-collage-bassadelic-com

So there ya go. Thank you Tom Caruana!!  You crazy bastard! This was definitely a fun tour into hip hop and melodic 60s mellow psychedelia. Fun stuff. And thanks to the Wu-Tang, and the Beatles, obviously!

Stay PLUR, Stay Hyphy, I’ll see y’all later!

FractalStein_metaselfie_final.png
FractalStein was one of the first artists to release on my own label a few years ago, over at Dynasty Shit, and he’s been dropping bass bombz ever since. And I’ll be honest, my favorite instrument in the world: “ANYTHING THAT SOUNDS LIKE THE FUNKY WORM” is played out (all original in this case) in the first track on this album. I was hooked from there. The rest of it is dope, too, I promise you that. This is NOT one to miss ….. ALSO – for those of you reading this little text here, this happens to be the 420th post to the site. I just noticed that. Ha. But anyway…Here’s a write-up by Spencer of Epoxy Records tell you all about the new album!
– StrangeFlow

@FractalStein reveals the Metaselfie LP on @EpoxyRecords. Transmuting charged thunderous kicks to electroplated bass slushees with intuitive nature. The Chicago resident liquifies both protoplasms and processors to slime with tweeter twisting, gangster certified melodies, loose chrome wobblers at 999 degrees Fahrenheit to overheat the operating system!

DARKO – Ciphering Signal EP Debuts on Epoxy Records

DARKO_CS_AlbumCover

DARKO is a producer to keep both your eyes and ears on within the realm of heavy
bass music. His newest debut is Ciphering Signal on Epoxy Records. His forward
thinking approach to experimental electronic carves an intense and unique groove in a
sonic landscape currently over-saturated with carbon copies. No rules or boundaries.

Darko’s mission is to “never be pigeonholed or lumped into a simple category.” In an act of complete digital anarchy, he thinks outside of the box and pulverizes it.

https://epoxyrecords.bandcamp.com/album/ciphering-signal

Thundering from the catacombs of Dayton, Darko’s anthology Ciphering Signal unravels
mummified membranes with dexterous grittiness, hypnotically spectral vocal melodies
and sarcophagus-shattering sub bass.

Shunning Mediocrity to Strive for PASSION, BEAUTY & BRILLIANCE

I run another site in addition to Bassadelic. It’s basically dedicated to online business and avoiding the traditional 9-5, and this post I just did seems to fit perfectly with Bassadelic, so, I’,m reposting it… Please subscribe to thebusinesspunk.com, if you’re at all interested. I have a couole dozen videos but more I need to upload, and plan to put up 100s of videos and posts in the months and years to come.

bassadelic . fuck mediocrity poster

So… you ever watch one of those Tyler Perry movies? …You ever listen to a Styx cover band? …You ever hear that Rebecca Black song? (You know which goddamn song I’m talking about) …or… You ever watch Andy Rooney complain about “how terrible sandwhiches are now,” or whatever?  (I’m not sure if that’s how he spelled his name, but he can fuck himself, I’m not gonna look it up, he was a crabby old fuckwit who hated progress and everything else, and got paid to be a crabby old man who doesn’t understand the present ((or, what he would probably consider the future)). I wish there was a hell, just for Andy Roonies).

My point is – have you ever encountered “entertainment” that’s just so goddamn mediocre that you need a shower afterwards? You need to go listen to Voodoo Chile by Hendrix or Sublime or Parliament or Biggie Smalls or…

LEGAL LSD? …Yes. (ALSO-Damn, I missed 420.. Time to celebrate late.

Yes, 420… and Bicycle Day, the day before, when Albert Hoffman (the man who synthesized LSD-25) took LSD for the first time and rode his bike and had a crazy time, not realizing what the effects of the chemical were..

Hmm.. Must’ve been a crazy experience. I can’t imagine that..

So anywho, about the 420, happy holidays!

And about the LSD, I’m not going to take it, but if anyone here wants to research it legally (NO, not the old LSD-25 , that, ‘woodstock acid,’ but a newer LSD, 1p-LSD, you can go HERE and get it legally. Yes, legally. And it’s for research only. No in-vitro testing. No animal or human consumption. SERIOUSLY. Click any of this paragraph to go to the site…

In case you missed it somehow, click that paragraph above that legal LSD link. AND NO, it’s not “FAKE” LSD; there are various derivatives and varieties of lysergamides, and lsd especially, and this is a new one. It will probably be illegal soon when it inevitably get’s popular… So you got the underground scoop..
