Yes, it’s true. Bill I-502 passed in my state of Washington, and though there are stipulations (which you will probably NEED to read about before you celebrate, so you know ALL the facts) it looks like a new day is upon us. I don’t know the stipulations for Colorado and Detroit (and various other portions of Michigan.. I hear Grand Rapids has, too!) but, I’m celebrating. Plus, say what you want to about Obama, but it looks like we won’t have King Romney in the highest position in American politics, and that’s cause to get out of your seat and celebrate!
I’ve lived in Colorado, I currently live in Washington, and Michigan is my home state. So, I’d like to take full credit for this bill passing. Though I had nothing to do with it (except voting in Washington this week) CLEARLY marijuana legislation is following me wherever I go in this country (except for California, as it’s only ‘medicinal’ down there)!
So, anyway, considering the results of this election, I’m fucking cheery today.
Facebook was BLOWING UP last night, following the election, as Obama took a projected 284 electoral votes (last I checked) with only 270 needed to win. For those of you living outside of the States, the electoral college is an archaic faux-democratic institution we set up to keep the public (who were largely seen as stupid by our arrogant founding fathers) to ensure that We The People don’t mess up. It’s ridiculous and antiquated, but that’s for another day to rant about. The point of this post is, GalaxC Girl posted a smoker’s mix on her Facebook page in honor of legalization, and I’d like to repost it here, today!

The celebration over at the Obama camp included a lot of great funk music! Angryrancor tipped me off to that live stream last night, and let me tell, they really were funkin’ it up! My favorite tune that I heard was Boogie Shoes by KC & the Sunshine Band:
