‘My Love is a Bulldozer’ is coming out June 18, and will be his first LP since 2010 ! He’s released various EP’s since then, but not a full LP! This should be a triumphant return. Maybe this sounds unecessary, but I feel like half the time I mention an LP, people ask me what that means. LP = “Long play,” as in, a full-on-album. EP = Extended play, which is basically longer than a single but shorter than an LP. Somewhat outdated terminology, but then again, so is saying, “have you downloaded my new record?” You can’t download vinyl. If you could, it would no longer be vinyl. Until we have vinyl-output-settings linked up to our 3d-printers, then we can’t—oooh shit, that’s a really good idea, actually – then anyone can do it, and almost any artist can actually make a vinyl, and — ok, I’m digressing a lot.

If you’re unfamiliar with the work of V.Snares, taking a listen to this next track, ‘Herbie Goes Ballistic,’ (from one of his 2000s-era albums, Chocolate Wheelchair) will likely give you the accurate sense that our friend, Mr. Snares, prefers a different artistic aesthetic than many:

Yes indeed. So big ups, Aaron Funk. I hope you read this and it thrills you that I would devote a post to your music. Actually, your music has been inspiring me a lot, lately! Also, big ups to Planet Mu for releasing V.Snares’ new one! I’m sure it’ll be great, I’ve heard it’ll be a mixture of his classical/operatic stuff with some of his poisonous breakbeat fire, so we’ll have to see! If anyone knows how to fucks with that 7/8, it’s the Funk man!
